To ensure proper financial accountability and integrity, the church finances are reviewed internally on a weekly basis, monthly by our executive board, and quarterly by an accountant. In addition, we undergo an operational audit on a regular basis. If you ever have any questions regarding the church finances, feel free to contact our office manager!
Tithe – Our motivation to tithe (giving 10% of our income to the local church) is compelled by obedience, honor, and trust. (Malachi 3:8-11; Matt 23:23)
Beyond the Tithe:
Offerings – Our motivation to give offerings (voluntary gifts for works of ministry above the tithe) is compelled by faith. (Mark 4:8; 2 Cor 9:1-7)
Alms (or Benevolence) – Our motivation to give alms (voluntary gifts to meet the needs of the under-resourced) is compelled by compassionate love towards others in need. (Matt 6:3-4; Prov 19:17)
First-fruits – Our motivation to give first fruits (voluntary gifts of the first and best of any increase) is compelled by generosity. (Prov 3:9-10)
